INTRON-X - The first commissioning

INTRON-X - The first commissioning teaser
2/11/2020

The first INTRON-X system was successfully installed and activated at INDUSTRONIC'S customer facility in the last few days.

Here's what Industronix has to say:
"The backward compatible INTRON-X was integrated into an existing digital communication system.
In this way, together with our customer, we were able to ensure that the well-known digital technology is linked to the new IP world and therefore a safe investment.

We are very proud of the simplified architecture the INTRON-X offers our customers, which gives everyone the opportunity to experience the neXt level of safe industrial communication!

But what does such a system change actually look like in reality?

First, we at INDUSTRONIC clarify the general conditions prevailing at our customer’s site; after all, we want to be prepared as well as possible, since it is our goal to minimize downtimes for our customers.
When planning the commissioning, deadlines as well as required material and personnel are taken into account.
We therefore try to ensure in advance that all the required material is on site in time.
HSE (Health, Safety & Environment Management) is very important at INDUSTRONIC, after all, our product itself stands for security and safety. For this reason, our commissioning begins after the relevant safety instructions from the factory management.
Once the safety training has been completed and the work permit for the plant has been issued, the service staff inspect the relevant control rooms or locations of the system.
Depending on the situation, new cabinets are then installed, the internal wiring terminated or the old material replaced. In addition, the rewiring and the connection of e.g. loudspeakers and the system are carried out.
When leveling the system, the functionality of the field devices (e.g. loudspeakers or intercom stations) is checked. Followed by the sound level measurement to ensure alarms and announcements are audible in all areas.
In this case of the INTRON-X commissioning, this step had to be postponed due to customer’s request.
Once the general function test has been completed (announcements, alarms, communication, battery backup, etc.), the system is officially approved by the customer and handed over by our commissioning team. With the help of the final acceptance documents, we verify that the system is running as required. If there are any questions left afterwards, we at INDUSTRONIC are always happy to find solutions."
