On the back of recent wins into Canberra, Brisbane and Sydney Airports, Western Advance has now secured a new agreement with major airports in East Asia together with a local security and technology integration partner.

“This agreement will see the implementation of the market leading Battelle LS10 liquid bottle scanner into major asian international airports to increase passenger security and safety”, said Jarrad Warwick, Business Development Manager – Aviation Security.

The Batelle LS10 scanner will help make these airports safer by being able to scan liquids, aerosols and gels for flammables, acids, and explosives within seconds.

“We have seen the direct evidence of highly accurate scanning as well as improved customer satisfaction in the airports in 3 of Australia’s major cities. The LS10 is deployed in major airports around the world such as Heathrow, Aberdeen, Glasgow as  throughout major airports within Canada.”

About the Battelle LS10
A first-of-its kind technology, Battelle's award-winning LS10 safely, quickly, and accurately detects threat substances, such as flammables, acids, oxidizers, explosive precursors and explosive compounds, within sealed or unopened metal, glass, plastic, paper, and ceramic containers.

Unlike other liquid scanners that rely on and are limited by single technology analysis, the LS10 employs Radio Frequency (RF) and ultrasonic technology to non-invasively interrogate liquids and gels in containers.

The LS10 has some key advantages:
- Easy to Use
- Short Analysis Time (< 5 seconds)
- Portabile and lightweight
- Ability to scan all container types
- Certified to ECAC Standard 3, Type B

Western Advance has been working with Battelle for over 6 years and is a recognised representative for Battelle in the APAC and Middle East regions.
