The LS10 is a bottle liquid scanner that is calibrated to detect threat flammables, acids, oxidizers, explosive precursors and explosive compounds in opened and unopened plastic and glass containers. Glass and plastic bottles may be clear, colored or opaque.

The operator presses a touch screen button to choose the type of container – glass, plastic or non-metallic tube – and follows directions on the touch screen. The touch screen instructs the operator to position the container and the handle to engage both the RF and ultrasonic sensor modalities. Once the hazard level of the container’s contents is determined, the LS10 signals threat detection results in the form of either a red flashing screen and audible sound for a hazardous liquid or a green screen for a benign liquid.
